Discontinuation of the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Emergency Assessment
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) has approved Citizens’ discontinuation of the 2005 Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF) Emergency Assessment surcharge on all commercial and personal lines new business and renewal policies, effective January 1, 2015.
The FHCF Emergency Assessment field will continue to display on the printed quotes and rating worksheets but the amount will display as zero. After January, it no longer will display on the Declarations page.
